The dream is to create a slow fashion brand, focusing on one-of-a-kind and limited edition products handmade in South Africa, that are unique, fun, bold, and stylishly practical. I’ve never felt I belong to any specific culture, but I love blending elements from various traditions to make something new.

How it began:

What started as a process for becoming creatively unblocked transformed into a passion project where I create statement pieces handmade with the highest quality natural fibers, which make passers-by look twice.

How it evolved:

Trial and error. Creating from scratch instead of following previously made patterns.

Core beliefs:

• Authenticity: Every woman should visually express herself in a way that makes her feel proud and unique. Exclusivity – All women should own something special that not everyone can have. Referenceless –  One-of-a-kind, or limited edition pieces celebrate the authentic self.
• Sustainability: Encourage creatives to produce and sell products made with natural materials or at least with environmentally friendly, reusable elements, becoming part of the solution for sustainability, rather than adding to our current fast fashion dilemma.
• Quality: Buy less, but buy better. Wear and use products created with the finest quality natural fibers.

The ideal:

• Slow fashion replaces fast fashion and becomes the new norm through conscious consumerism.
• Seeing women confidently expressing their personal styles and becoming proud trendsetters.
• Holding a physical, finished product in hand that was previously only floating around in my creative mind.
